DESIGNER'S JOURNEY:

Adheera is a textile brand based in Ahmedabad and has been working on Shibori techniques for over 4 years now. Adheera is headed by Dipika Udhani, a self taught shibori Artist and a Fashion entrepreneur based in Gujarat. Taking inspiration from age old techniques of shibori the brands enhances on ethical fashion and unique ideations. From getting organic fabrics to employing hand stitching to finish and piece together our apparel wherever possible with a dedicated focus on sustainability. All handcrafted drapes that we produce is a result of us doing what we love.

PURPOSE

With a dedicated focus on sustainability. We create minimal waste designs and replacing chemical dyes with natural dyes. We traverse to create products that are timeless and promote no-season garments. 

SOCIAL IMPACT- PEOPLE

The brand aims at empowering local artisans as well as artisans from other cities. The brand focuses on handcrafted techniques where there is a collaboration with local artisans, along with that the brand also enhances work relations with various NGO’s and collaborating with them for the production.

PLANET- ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

With the focus on minimal damage to the environment, the brand highlights the usage of natural dyes and organic fabrics. The brand also works upon techniques that uses waste fabrics from the previous collections and are revamped for new collections. The production of the garments is customised and does not encourage mass production.
